The first of 2 very long days is underway. I’m in the General Government Appropriations and Oversight Committee meeting this morning and we’re scheduled to be in the hearing until 6:00 PM tonight. We have 20 bills up for public hearing and 28 bills scheduled for executive action. Two hours into the hearing and we’ve heard 7 bills and took executive action on 2 others. This is going to be a very long day.
Tomorrow is going to be just as long. The General Government Appropriations and Oversight Committee is meeting at 8:00 AM, followed by a floor session at 10:00 and back into the General Government Appropriations and Oversight Committee at 1:30 PM. The appropriations cut-off is tomorrow at 5:00 PM, so time is on our side.
