Yakima Herald-Republic Online - Yakima, WA

 hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/M/MT_LYNX_HABITAT_WA...FAULT

The courts and the federal government are out of control. It's time the individual states step up and demand their citizens be compensated for the regulatory takings of private property. Yet again, the animals are more important than people!

Post from WA State Representative David Taylor at CHUM.LY

What a great candidate forum in Bickleton tonight. I focused my comments on returning to the Constitutional Principles this Country was founded upon. Let's not forget, three little words, a mere 11 letters "WE THE PEOPLE". We the people are vested with the power over the government. We the people must demand a smaller government that respects and is accountable to the people.

"Don't tread on me" and "Give me Freedom or Give me Death" not just slogans, but words which delivered our Country to greatness. Let's make 2010 a November to Remember!

Sixth, seventh graders most likely targets of gangs looking for new recruits - Daily Sun News - Sunnyside, Washington

Parents really need to pay attention to this. Gangs are not an issue isolated to Yakima, Sunnyside or Toppenish. http://chum.ly/n/232c15

After a busy weekend of hauling cattle and picking up the new Border Collie puppies, it's back to work. We have candidate forums in Stevenson on Wednesday and Bickleton on Thursday ... I hope to see there. http://chum.ly/n/232c12

Local News | WA governor may call special legislative session | Seattle Times Newspaper

 seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/201242149....html

This is not good news for the taxpayers of Washington State. Mark my words, if we're called to Special Session the State Democrats will proclaim "we've cut everything we can and we're now forced to raise taxes." The truth of the matter is the 2010 Supplemental Budget contained $359 million in new policy additions and these new expenditures were passed through a completely partisan vote. The bi-partisan effort opposed the new expenditures.

Post from WA State Representative David Taylor at CHUM.LY

It's midnight and I just got home from another 18 tons of hay. Dang late nights and no sleep begin to wear on you. Now I know I don't want to be a part of the Deadliest Catch. We should be down to our last 20 tons tomorrow night. I'll be in Underwood tomorrow night ... I guess it's tonight now ... for a candidate forum. http://chum.ly/n/213f10

Post from WA State Representative David Taylor at CHUM.LY

Excerpt from the Anti-Federalist Papers – Col. Mason, Virginia Delegate

“Under their own construction of the general clause, at the end of the enumerated powers, the Congress may grant monopolies in trade and commerce, constitute new crimes, inflict unusual and severe punishments, and extend their powers as far as they shall think proper, so that the State legislatures have no security for the powers now presumed to remain to them, or the people for their rights.”

So often today, those individuals who are fighting to preserve State’s Rights are laughed upon by the progressive movement. Interestingly, over 200 years ago our Founding Fathers also expressed concern over preserving State’s Rights, which led to the 10th Amendment specifically preserving those powers, not otherwise granted to the Federal Government, with the people first and then to the States.

The time has come to remind all of our elected leaders the Constitution matters and we expect them to follow it.

Holy cow! We loaded 12 tons of hay last night and finally got home around 11:15 PM. It looks like we have about another 30 tons to go ... YIKES! We have another Candidate Forum tomorrow night in Underwood and hope to attend the Yakima Freedom Partners event Thursday night. We'll wrap up the week by delivering 25 steers to Enumclaw for a rodeo on Saturday. Busy, busy, busy. http://chum.ly/n/20e885

Interesting read given the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife maintains they will not be actively relocating wolves in Washington State.

The truth is out there!!!

We had a successful candidate forum in Goldendale last night. The turnout was great and people were very supportive.

"We the People" .. very powerful words. Our Founding Fathers knew that government must be kept in check and reserving the power with the People was the best way to do that. The only way to change the way government operates is to take it back this November.

"The Time Is Now" ... really Governor?

Gregoire sends correct message on water needs | Yakima Herald-Republic  www.yakima-herald.com/stories/2010/07/05/gregoire-..

The Governor's message may be correct, but actions speak louder than words and, thus far, the Governor has taken no action. The Governor, her agencies, tribal interests, and environmentalists are all seeking "consensus" to address water needs in the Yakima Basin. Let's all remember what Margaret Thatcher said about "Consensus" ...

"To me consensus seems to be the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects—the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot get agreement on the way ahead. What great cause would have been fought and won under the banner "I stand for consensus"?"

Margaret thatcher also said, "Consensus is the absence of leadership." Governor Gregoire, now is the time for action and real leadership. http://chum.ly/n/1d2871
