Today marks the start of the final third of the 2013 Regular Legislative Session. My day started on the House Floor where we’re considering Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill 5802, which is the Governor’s Climate Change Bill. E2SSB 5802 creates the Climate Legislative and Executive Work Group and commissions a report to evaluate approaches to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The bill passed 61 to 32 with 5 excused.
What a way to start the week … passing a bill to do something the Governor can do without any Legislative approval. Hey Governor, how about regulatory reform or something to promote economic development? I guess we know what your priorities are, Governor.
