This bond issue asks the voters to approve general obligation bonds $505 million OUTSIDE the state debt limit, it will make the bottle water tax permanent to pay for the debt service, the debt service is estimated to be $72 million per year or $1.0 billion over twenty-five years, and will ultimately cause the state's bond rating to be downgraded costing the taxpayers an additional $3.5 to $7.0 million per $1 billion in financing costs.
The fact the the Washington Environmental Council supports passage of Ref. 52 ought to scare the heck out of all of us.
