Principles of Liberty - Skamania County WA - YouTube::
Rep Matt Shea and I were invited to Stevenson, WA last Thursday to discuss Freedom Agenda - WA, principles of liberty and the 2014 Legislative Session. It was a great event, hosted by Skamania County Sheriff Brown, with folks from Klickitat and Clark Counties attending as well.

February 4th - 2013 Regular Legislative Session Day 22
I had a great weekend; it just wasn’t long enough. Molly and I were able to get a lot of errands done on Saturday and spent Sunday in Selah watching Tiffany play volleyball. The four-wheeler wasn’t running properly, so I worked on it Saturday afternoon and the guy I’ve got feeding for me was able to finish fixing it on Sunday. All in all, it was a productive weekend.
I started my Monday morning taping a radio segment with Reps Matt Shea and Jason Overstreet. We discussed reducing taxes, indefinite detention and unmanned aerial vehicles … just another episode expounding the virtues of freedom and liberty.
We have a Floor Session scheduled for 10:00 AM this morning and then I have a series of meeting leading up to my 3:30 Appropriation Committee meeting. Just another day in Olympia.

Greetings all. It's been a while since I last posted, but the remodel/update has been taking a of my time. Good news however, we're almost done. We got the last cabinets hung and the micro-hood installed last night. There is in fact a light at the end of the tunnel.
I received a letter from the Yakima Valley Landlords Association today and want to thank them for their endorsement of my campaign for re-election. Thank you all very much, I appreciate your support.
A special thanks goes out to the Baxter family for hosting our big Freedom and Liberty Event Thursday, August 30th at 7:00 PM. State Representatives Matt Shea (Spokane) and Jason Overstreet (Blaine) are joining me for an evening celebrating freedom and liberty. These are two really great individuals, whom I respect and look to for advice while in Olympia. Don't miss this opportunity to spend some time with fellow freedom loving folks from the Yakima Valley. Here's some more information ... www.facebook.com/events/147991998672069
I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend and I'll see you soon on the campaign trail. God bless.

Another day of remodel, another "gem" discovered. On Monday it was the ABS pipe fitting that had a crack and was "fixed" with duct tape ... what will it be today? All in all, the remodel/update is going well. We got the cabinets and countertops ordered yesterday, so I have a target day for installation. Today is all about removing the sheetrock from the utility room (more water damage and mold), tearing out the water damaged flooring and prepping for the new wall. If I’m able to get half of that completed, I’ll be happy.
Last night, half of the Freedom and Liberty Caucus met for a BBQ here in the Moxee Valley. Rep. Jason Overstreet and his family were in town on their way home from Boise. We had a wonderful night discussing politics, trends, world events, and the state of society in general. Jason has a wonderful family and his wife is awesome. A special thanks to Eric and Autumn Torres for having the BBQ.
It seems like very time I talk to a constituent or concerned citizen, I hear about a new issue with a state agency. I’ve been looking into the land purchases and swaps by the Department of Fish and Wildlife and am still gathering information regarding the amount of money spent and the total acreage involved. I hope to publish information on that very soon. I was also alerted to a very troubling issue regarding water rights and will post more information as soon as I receive it. This one could be huge!
Back to work for me ... I have a couple of meetings this week, but mostly I can focus on getting some of the remodel/update completed. God bless.

2012 Regular Legislative Session Day 33
After finally leaving the Hose Floor at 11:30 PM last night, we’re back on the House Floor this morning to run more crappy bills that do absolutely nothing to address the $1.5 billion budget deficit. We received another list of bills pulled from Rules by the Speaker at 11:00 PM last night. Oh the fun of being in the minority.
At 9:15 this morning, the House Floor was empty, except for Jason Overstreet, Matt Shea, Cary Condotta, and I. Jason made some comment about how it was fitting that the four of us were standing alone on the House Floor. As we all laughed, I realized how true that statement was. The Liberty Caucus, standing together on the Floor before anyone else is there.
After 2 hours and 35 minutes on the House Floor today, we’ve debated and passed 2 bills. We have another 14 bills on the"run” list before we’ll break for lunch. It’s going to be another long day.
