March 13th - 2013 Regular Legislative Session Day 59

After several long days, House of Origin Cutoff is here. We’re still watching 1588 very closely and it sounds like at least a couple of key Democrats are still pushing to run it. We’re also asking Speaker Chopp to run HB 1771, Drones … please call the Speakers Office and ask him to run this important piece of Legislation.

I really want to thank everyone for all their hard work ... please keep it up.

March 12th - 2013 Regular Legislative Session Day 58

After waiting 5 house and 20 minutes for the Democrat Majority to decide what they wanted to do, we passed House Bill 1840 61 to 37 and then broke for dinner. After dinner, we sat around for another 30 minutes and then the day ended.

Folks, stay focused and vigilant … THIS IS NOT OVER. Sleep well ladies and gentlemen, for tomorrow is another fight.

We’re still pushing to get our drone bill out (HB 1771) but these are the days that the time crunch kills bills … call or email your representative and ask them to support HB 1771. February 20th - 2013 Regular Legislative Session Day 38

I started my day on 1280/99.5 KIT with"Dave and Lance in the morning”. We discussed House Bill 1588 and some of the problems associated with it. We also spoke briefly on Senate Bill 5737. It’s always good speaking with those guys.

We’re scheduled to be on the House Floor at 10:00 AM today and then I have two committee meetings this afternoon. Friday is the cutoff for Policy Committees, which means we’ll be considering a lot of bills over the next three days.
